This linen apron was made in 2015, for "Hell On Wheels". The fabric was woven with different colours of thread in the warp and weft, creating a "shot" effect.

Detail of "fagoting" decoration on hem. This was all done by machine, making it much more affordable.

The pocket has the same machine-made fagoting detail.

This apron was made from a scrap of rough-weave silk fabric, hand hemmed on three sides and with ties of petersham ribbon.
